One thing about me: I am not a woman of few words... :-D

There are three people and two cats living in 32 White House.

The older cat, Grandpa P actually came with the house and then there is Uncle S who has been with me for over a decade.

The two little people here are BigSis and LittleBro. BigSis is five and an always (mostly) happy and curious little redhead and LittleBro is a two year old happy chappy with very advanced language skills (he is going to suck at maths, I am sure).

LittleBro has Cutaneous Mastocytosis, he has got lots of spots over his body. They look like freckles or liver spots but release histamine when triggered which can cause severe allergic reactions. We finally got the diagnose as he turned one and until about a month before his second birthday there was no real problem. He didn't seem affected, he just got more and more spots, a couple at the time. Then sth changed. At one point he got lots of spots at the same time, mainly in his face (which is rare, normally (if you can use a word like "normal" when you talk about a rare condition) they don't spread to the face) and that is when he started to react to some food types, mainly food that is high in histamine, which we were to find out. Tomatoes for example. He also got really introvert and sad, almost depressed. His mood got much better as we started to give him an antihistamine on a daily basis and that is what we are doing know.

Then there is me. Not 40 yet but closer to it than to 30. After the separation from the kids' father in Feb 2013 I was determined to change things, take matters in my own hand, finding out, what I want to become when I have grown up. The result so far is that I have changed my career a bit and I started to work as a care assistant. Part time, so I am still doing my translations. This autumn I am going back to school, a full time distance course to better up some of my grades.

I am very interested in healthy eating and exercising. When it comes to these things I am a bit of a lost soul though. I can't decide which way to go. I try lots of things and quit lots of things. I have not found that thing that clicks, that feels like me. I need to find sth and stick to it. Well, this is certainly sth I am going to write about here. Eating clean and healty has become even more an issue now that LittleBro has some allergies. I am not all hard core, of course we go for fast food every now and then, but overall I try to eat and cook a bit LCHP (Low Carb High Protein) style.

Other than that I like my audio books and I watch series like True Blood, The Walking Dead and Nashville (yes, I am serious). Two kids, two cats and two jobs don't allow for more spare time. Sometimes not even that but that is just the way it is.

Enough said.

Oh, maybe one more thing: welcome!
